2005 Pinotage

Our 2005 Pinotage presents cedar box and cassis on the nose complimented by soft strawberry basket notes.  Intense flavours of ripe plum, Bing cherry and raspberry jam are wrapped in bold tannins, finishing with rich boysenberry and subtle black pepper.

Grower’s Thoughts: "Pinotage is our newest varietal. The wet period during bloom affected this variety more, leading to a smaller yield. This helped develop flavour and sugar, however. I enjoy growing Pinotage because of its strength and rich flavour profile. We picked the Pinotage from two different vineyards two separate times in October to build layers." -Lanny Martiniuk
