Pinot Noir 2007

"An earthy, gently mineral-toned, plush and silky Pinot- among the best weÍve tasted."

Tim Pawsey, North Shore News

This vintage was among the best we've seen for ripening Pinot Noir, with its long, warm- but not too warm- growing season. In the cellar, gentle handling of the fruit and regular punch-downs were paramount to maintaining the grape's notoriously delicate phenolics.

The end result, after 15 months' ageing in French oak, is a graceful, charming Pinot with a classic, silky mouthfeel. The 2007 greets the nose with aromas of violets, tobacco and black cherry, following through with plump red berry flavours on the palate.
