Pinot Noir 2008

"Stoneboat '08 Pinot Noir could well be the benchmark for Pinot Noir value in the bottle."

Tim Pawsey, North Shore News

A cool fall in 2008 delayed our Pinot harvest by up to two weeks, leaving the fruit plenty of time to develop fantastic bright flavours and nuance without overripening. We limited new oak barrels to 25% in 2008, allowing the brilliant berry characters brought about by the cool weather to shine in this wine.

Tending towards an old-world style, this Pinot exhibits carefully balanced tannin, fruit and acidity. Bright berries and earthy, herbal tones contribute to a delicate, yet full mouthfeel.
